Old Milon
In “Old Milon” by Guy De Maupassant, Milon’s looks gained the trust of people but beyond his looks laid a different story. He was a clever and cunning man. The little tricks up his sleeve helped him out, throughout his plans. Before the start of his mysterious plan, his witty personality lured the people toward him. With his ways, he got people to trust him and for that his plan would be accomplished. Afterward, his plan began to kill the Germans. His first murder he took the scythe off the hook and snuck behind the man and chopped his head off. More and more murders kept happening, he learned the things to be aware of and what would be helpful. He disguised himself as a soldier at one point and sneaked around. Eventually when a German soldier came by, he jumped out and said Hilife! Hilife! His looks were deceiving and he would attack them. In the end there were signs of the murders and who it may lead to be. He confessed the truth about the murders and told his story of his revenge. Throughout his plan, his cunning ways kept his work unknown. His sharp personality and wittiness made him the man he is.
